AI & Automation Engineer / Energy Operations

I turn manual work into systems that run themselves: OCR pipelines that read invoices, settlement engines that replace spreadsheets, and LLM products that keep working even when the model doesn't.

02 Dual circuit · About

Two circuits,
one engineer.

By day I own end-to-end contract operations for a renewable-energy portfolio at Statkraft, one of Europe's largest renewable generators. By night I design and ship production AI systems: self-hosted and API-based LLMs, RAG, and agentic pipelines with deterministic guardrails.

Both circuits run on the same rule: if a process repeats, it should be engineered.

Rewiring the back office.

Statkraft · Contract Operations Analyst · Mar 2023 – present
Intern Sep 2022 – Feb 2023 · Düsseldorf

I'm the sole back-office owner of the Polish portfolio: invoicing, PnL, accruals and settlement for upstream PPA, downstream, imbalance and BESS battery-storage contracts. I also built the automation behind that work.

⚙ Settlement engine

A Python script that pulls timeseries from eSales, applies each contract's pricing logic (curtailment, auction flex, weighted average, blended) and writes the settlement files. It replaced manual drag-down Excel workbooks.

▤ OCR invoice reader

Reads volumes, prices, amounts, parks and periods from about 60 supplier invoices a month into one overview. The checks used to be done invoice by invoice; now one review takes minutes.

↗ Scaled to Iberia

After management widened my automation remit, I adapted the OCR tool for the multilingual Iberian market and automated settlement files for its portfolio of about 80 PPAs.

⚡ Regulation-proof invoicing

In 2023 a Polish regulation required daily invoice breakdowns the billing system couldn't produce. I rebuilt monthly invoicing in CSV and ran it that way for 12 months at full accuracy and on every deadline. Senior Front Office leadership sent a formal note of appreciation.

☁ Cloud reporting migration

Core developer on the SAP SAC data-warehouse migration. I owned the Polish data pipeline end to end and earned a performance bonus for it, then helped move the company from monthly to daily PnL.

PharmaKarigar

AI-powered hiring for the pharmaceutical sector

A production hiring platform: Android app, web client and REST API in English, Hindi and Marathi, all running on one self-hosted VPS.

  • A self-hosted Llama 3.2 (Ollama) runs a retrieval-grounded career assistant, resume parsing, candidate-job matching and voice mock interviews with on-device speech-to-text and text-to-speech.
  • Built for reliability: grounded prompting, deterministic output validators, concurrency gating and rule-based fallbacks. The product works fully with the AI switched off.
  • Measured before shipping: LLM answer-grading scored 75% on real cases, so I replaced it with a reviewed 160-question bank and rule-based scoring.
  • $0external API cost
  • 3languages: EN · HI · MR
  • 35→≤2model calls per session

UnOblivo

Therapy session intelligence

A cross-platform Flutter app (Android and web from one codebase, 25+ screens). It turns therapy-session audio into speaker-labelled transcripts, SOAP clinical notes and risk and sentiment analysis.

  • A serverless agent layer on Cloudflare Workers runs 6 structured-output Claude tasks: full-history case review, multi-turn decision-support chat and treatment-plan generation. It sits behind Firebase auth, has clinical-safety guardrails, and never ships an API key in the client.
  • Cut out recurring vendor cost: I replaced a paid per-minute speech-to-text vendor with Whisper behind the same Worker. Diarization, sentiment, topic and intent extraction now run in one LLM pass per transcript.
  • Kept a provider-agnostic contract, so 5 downstream services needed zero changes. 105 automated tests cover it, with 0 analyzer errors.

JARVIS

A local-first multi-agent AI system

A personal multi-agent system that runs on my own machine, works toward goals on its own and produces publishable short-form video. It needs no subscription, and with Ollama alone it works fully offline, with no account or API key.

  • A supervisor agent fronts 14 specialists (research, coding, email, calendar, content, analytics and more). It answers directly, hands work to one specialist, or runs a parallel multi-step plan as a task graph. Tasks, memory and conversations persist in SQLite with vectors.
  • Safe by design: each of the 73 typed tools declares a risk level. Anything outbound or irreversible stops and asks for approval with the exact arguments, and the approval expires instead of defaulting to yes. Every action is audit-logged.
  • A router that picks models by tier, never by hard-coded name. It ranks tool-call reliability separately from reasoning, measured on the project's own test set.
  • A video factory makes faceless shorts end to end: a retention-shaped script, Piper narration with word timings, local FLUX images, and an ffmpeg render with NVENC. It also has local voice: wake word, transcription and spoken replies.
